Olympics and BMX
Just slighty more inportant than the reversal of Afghanistan's Olympic Committee's suspension... 2 BMX (thats Bicycle Moto-cross) events are set to replace 2 Track events. It isn't clear yet which events will get the boot...

The IOC is trying to determine the 2 skinny-tire events that are least popular... a year ago I would have applauded this much more but my understanding of the current state of clipped in, diet conscious, steroid munchin bmx racers... what's the difference. They barely catch any air anymore... What about freeride, or 4x.... These events showcase human drama, high-technology, death-defying acrobatic feats, and most of all personality.
Maybe the IOC doesn't want personality... like those darn snowboarders that embarrased the IOC with theis pot smoking... UNLIKE the IOC who took bribes to put the Olympics in Salt Lake City...
Or who let the freekin (post cold war) Russians cheet their way to a win in ice skating...
