So these cranks are definitly "diesel" but are they overkill. I personally would rather run either lighter cranks or run chromoly bmx style cranks. I mean if you have suspension you shouldn't need this much cranks and if you don't have suspension then you can afford to spend some of that precious wieght on some truly beefy cranks... I don't know much but I do know from riding some fairly spindly road cranks latley that crank stiffness is a quality of life issue not to be taken lightly. Basically this is more crank than a trucker packs for a trip between Vegas and Vancouver... if you break cranks and don't want to go chromo, then try these.
